The Doors recorded “Hyacinth House” for their 1971 album, L.A. Woman. For this video, I used pictures that were taken during the Morrison Hotel period. I thought they were a better fit for the song. The photos were taken by the famed photographer, Henry Diltz.

This song is the second track on the Doors 1967 album “Strange Days”. It was never released as a single. Keyboardist Ray Manzarek suggested that the song was about a very young Mia Farrow, who had just got married to the much, much older Frank Sinatra.
