Gloryhammer

Gloryhammer is a British Symphonic power metalepic and fantasy band, founded in 2010 by Christopher Bowes, vocalist of Alestorm , a multi-national Pirate metal band.

On the occasion of their first album, they define themselves on their official website as a “heroic fantasy power metal” group, particularly due to the themes of the songs. Relating to the fantasy universe and their costumes, before changing this name to "Interdimensional Space Metal" following the addition of a significant number of themes relating to science fiction in their following albums.

Each of their albums is a concept album in which the members of the group play the main characters; it is also under the pseudonym of their respective character that they are credited on the albums.

Formation and Tales from the Kingdom of Fife (2010-2014)

Formed in 2010 as a side project of keyboardist and singer Christopher Bowes of the pirate metal band Alestorm, the group quickly got noticed by Napalm Records who signed them in 2012. They also recorded a demo in 2010 containing three songs, but which is not published.

Their debut album Tales from the Kingdom of Fife was released on March 29, 2013. On July 16, the group announced "The Epic Tour of Furious Thunder" European tour to promote their album, which they did with Darkest Era and Dendera. On March 4, 2014, they left for a new tour of Australia, with Pirate metal band Lagerstein and other guests. This will be followed by another tour in Europe with other groups, such as Twilight Force and Shear.

Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards (2015-2017)

On April 7, 2015, the group announced that they were entering the studio to record a new album called Space 1992: Rise of the Chaos Wizards. They reveal its release for September 25, 2015, as well as the list of titles. An excerpt, "Universe on Fire" is broadcasted on August 8. After the release of the album, they went on a promotional tour for it, including visits to cities like Riga, Berlin, Budapest, Munich and Barcelona.

On March 21, 2016, the group announced a British tour with Blind Guardian, including concerts on May 17 in Glasgow, May 18 in Manchester, May 19 in Dublin, May 21 in Nottingham and May 22 in London. On September 27, 2016, the group announced on their official website that they will accompany HammerFall as part of their "Built to Tour 2017" which started on January 12, 2017 in Bremen and which passes through cities like Saarbrücken, Budapest, Vienna and Berlin.

Legends from Beyond the Galactic Terrorvortex (since 2019)

On January 31, 2019, the group revealed the first information regarding their third album, including its name and cover. This is called, Legends from Beyond the Galactic Terrorvortex and was scheduled for spring 2019. It was finally released on May 31, 2019, still under the Napalm Records label. The same year they performed at the fourteenth edition of Hellfest, Sabaton Open Air and Wacken Open Air.

In August 2021, the group announced that it was separating from singer Thomas Winkler; it was announced In December 2021. Cypriot Sozos Michael was introduced as the new singer of the band, at the start of a UK tour. They released their first single with Michael as lead singer, titled "Fly Away", on April 28, 2022. On March 14, 2023, the fourth studio album, “Return to the Kingdom of Fife”, was announced and later released on June 2, 2023.

The band released three singles in support of the album: "Keeper of the Celestial Flame of Abernethy", "Holy Flaming Hammer of Unholy Cosmic Frost" and "Wasteland Warrior Hoots Patrol".

Angus McSix

On July 4, 2022, Thomas announced that he would be returning to music-making, and he had signed with Napalm Records under his new act Angus McSix. On October 10 2022, the full lineup for Angus McSix was announced, with Thomas Winkler being joined by Thalìa Bellazecca (formerly of Frozen Crown), Manu Lotter (formerly of Rhapsody of Fire) and Sebastian Levermann (of Orden Ogan) who will represent characters in the story concept and appear in costumes. The band's first single, "Master of the Universe", was released on January 19 2023, simultaneously with the announcement of their debut studio album, "Angus McSix and the Sword of Power", which was released on April 21, 2023. Two more singles were released in support of the album, "Sixcalibur" and "Laser Shooting Dinosaur".
